How to preserve shiitakes

Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the surface of the mushrooms, then wrap them in newspaper neatly and leave them in a dry place.

How to preserve straw mushrooms

There are many ways to store straw mushrooms depending on how long you use them.

Method 1: At a temperature of 50 -60 F degrees, the mushrooms can be kept for 4 days, so you just need to put them in the refrigerator and use gradually. If you want to keep them longer, you put them in vacuum bags and then leave them in the refrigerator.

Method 2: Blanch the mushrooms over boiling water for about 2 minutes and then take them out and drop them in cold water. Then, put them in the refrigerator. They can last for 3-4 days.

Method 3: Boil mushrooms in boiling water with salt for 10 to 15 minutes, then quickly put in a basin of cold water. Wait for a while and then take out the mushrooms and put them in a glass jar soaked in salt water with a concentration of 20-23%. If the water is cloudy or moldy after you soak the mushrooms, change the brine to another. This will help keep the mushrooms usable for several months.

Method 4: Dry the mushrooms. When needed, soak them in hot water so that they can bloom. By this way, you can keep the mushrooms for around 6 months.

How to preserve abalone mushrooms

Clean the mushrooms by amputating the legs, splitting and rinsing. Then, dip the mushrooms in a pot of boiling water with a little salt for about 15 seconds and then take out to drain. Finally, just put the mushrooms in a clean box and leave them in the freezer. By this way, the abalone mushroom can be used for up to 1 month.

How to preserve fatty mushrooms

Cut off the legs of the mushrooms. Then, peel off the outer layer of the mushrooms and chop them. Next, put the mushrooms in the zipper bag and squeeze all the air out, zip the bag and store the bag in the freezer. By this way, you can keep the mushrooms fresh for 30 days.

How to store enoki mushrooms

At a temperature of about 33 to 40 F degrees (in the refrigerator compartment), the enoki mushrooms can be kept for 45 days. At normal temperature, they can be stored for 1-3 days. But according to the experts’ recommendation, using the enoki mushrooms immediately after buying will be the best.
